my dear cousin paul.to this day i never have forgotten you.it seems like yesterday,since the news on the radio was on.PAUL HOWLISTON.me your cousin pamela {who is now with you up in heaven) and our dad was listening,we looked at each other and we all said no,no,no,it cant be.i start crying,hoping we were wrong.the news came over, there had been an accident on benton road tip,just off galsworthy road,south shields,behind chuter ede school.i remember that place well,as quite often i pass it and think of you always,yous were all sitting round a fire.and wanted more to keep the fire going.a 40 oil gallon drum was rolled on,and within seconds it blew up.knocking you out.or so everyone thought,you were a joker paul,so everyone thought you were joking.til they realised,no joke this time.(wish it had been dear cousin).help came but.....you left us...... i cried and cried,you were like a brother to us.you were always at our house.i knew you so so well paul.and you no what? you are my brother,you were always there 4 me and pamela.the laughs we had off you were mad.just like your brothers.your harry and david take nowt serious,just like you.when i talk to them they so remind me of you,your john,i dnt rarely see,until it was your mam and dads funeral.he is like you also.these memories are as clear as anything,but ask me what i did yesterday,i would have to think about it.lol.your maureen and lynn are so alike.maureen reminds me of our pamela,shes got her ways,ive always thought lynn is like me,when i was younger.i want and try to get people to remember you paul.you were only 17 years old.and do you know what?il have dozens of cousins, but i no nowt about them, like i know about you.ive remembered your date of passing,your date of birth,what you were like,i was only just 13 years old paul.but i remember it all dear cousin.(brother).as the day went on,i just cried and cried.i was devastated.the school holidays had just started,my mam had left home,nothing could get worse.i went to see you in the chapel of rest (my god.)you looked so peaceful.i stroked your face,you were so cold,and i rubbed and rubbed your face,with the back of my right hand,to try and warm your face up.i asked you to wake up.please wake up,i remember saying.when i look back,i was only 13 and when i see a 13 year old now i remember you.how i was.you were the first person i ever saw in a coffin.and it wasnt my last.5 years later our pamela joined you,her also suddenly.in a freak accident.my little sister.3 days b4 her 17th birthday.i am gonna ask people who remember the accident,or who knew you to light a candle 4 you,as ive only not long start using a computer,i no there are a lot of people on this site for the same reason.say hello to pamela and tell her i will continue lighting candles 4 you two and the rest of our crew.whos up there.a good few.got your mams memorial to do yet and your dads.hope you have found peace.lots of love 4 ever your very close cousin janet.THESE MEMORIES ARE THE FIRST TIME IVE SHARED THEM.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxmissssssssssss ya paul.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
